Typical picture of a Landing Craft Tank (LCT)
Ship No 325

Ship No 325 was an order from the Admiralty for a Landing Craft Tank otherwise know as an LCT and they were allocated numbers by the Royal Navy for use in amphibious assaults on beaches.

This one was a triple screw of around 450 tons, with a length overall of 143 feet and a beam of 30 feet, with a shallow draught of 8 feet and 9 inches for getting in close to the beach so they could discharge their cargo of troops and tanks.
